Lisa Holdsworth
Lisa won her first UK TV commission in 2001 on Fat Friends. She then joined the writing team of the long-running soap Emmerdale for three years, before heading off to write
New Tricks, winning the Royal Television Society's Yorkshire Best Writer award for one of her episodes.
Since then she has written for Waterloo Road, Robin Hood, Midsomer Murders, Ackley Bridge, Call The Midwife, All Creatures Great & Small, and Discovery Of Witches.
For theatre, she wrote Rugby Songs for Slung Low Theatre Company and Black Teeth & A Brilliant Smile for Freedom Studios.
Alison Down
Alison is an award-winning writer and deviser based in Liverpool, and specialises in work for children and young people.
Her BIFA-nominated short film Flight won Best Film in The
Bucharest International Film Festival,
and in September 2014, Alison was a Finalist at BAFTA Rocliffe's Children's Forum with her family feature Dai The Voice.
Alison has been mentored by award-winning playwright Mike Kenny and film producer Caroline Cooper Charles (North West Vision Film + Media/Creative England.
In her spare time, she's a very proud adoptive mum.
Saphena Aziz
Saphena is a singer/ songwriter/vocal coach/choral director and playwright. She has performed at the Royal Albert Hall &
the Royal Festival Hall. She has composed soundtracks for BBC radio drama, worked
with Gareth Malone on his Choir series and created corporate choirs for companies such as Coca Cola and Microsoft. Currently Saphena is preparing songs for her own Liverpool-based choir, Choir Core. In her day job she is Director of Inclusion at Curious Minds, creating greater access to the arts for all children and young people in the North by focusing on racial empowerment and anti-racist practices. Saphena will be performing her own monologue, in what will be her acting debut.
Joe Taylor
"Just Joe", as he's best known, is an up-and-coming spoken word artist, who emerged on the Liverpool poetry scene in 2018.
He has performed at numerous prominent Liverpool venues

from the Everyman Theatre to the Cavern Club and he recently performed at an event hosting esteemed British rapper Lowkey. Joe is set to write and publish a collection of his poetry called The Manifestations Of A Capitalist Society, a book aimed at highlighting the different symptoms of our societal structure and to help people ask important questions and find clarity through poetry, as he has.
Marjorie H Morgan
Marj is a writer and playwright with a body of work created around the main theme of identity and society. Her play Let Them Eat Cake was shortlisted for the Kenneth Branagh Drama
Writing Awards 2018, and featured at Unity Theatre as part of Homotopia's 2018 programme.
Other stage plays include The Thin Red Line, which was showcased at Hope Street Theatre in October 2018.
Marj has also written and produced a series of plays including Daddy's Boy, installed at Tate Liverpool, and Enigma Stigma, shown at the Everyman Studio, C34, and the Unity Theatre.
Gary Bainbridge
Gary is a journalist and screenwriter from Liverpool.
He wrote a nationally syndicated weekly column for 10 years, and provided material for the comedians Adam Kay and Dave
Gorman, contributing to four series of the Dave TV shows Modern Life Is Goodish and Dave Gorman: Terms And Conditions Apply.
His comic play Shelf Life, co-written with Griff Phillips, was performed at the Canal Cafe Theatre in London.
He is a writer and designer at Bus Stop Editorial Services, and travels a lot on buses.
Pegeen Murphy
Pegeen is an actor (The Octagon, Oldham Coliseum, Hope Mill Theatre, BBC Radio, and Burn Bright) and writer. Her writing has won the Manchester Monologue prize (Royal Exchange),
the LocalTale short play prize (Royal Exchange), and the One Night In Bolton prize (Octagon Theatre). Her work has been performed at the Royal Exchange, The Octagon Theatre, Hope Mill Theatre, Oldham Coliseum, Burn Bright, and BBC Radio. Pegeen will be performing her own monologue.

Shannon Power
Shannon has been acting in theatre for 8 years and has previously appeared in The Mourning Bride and more recently played the role of Jenny in More than Blood at Unity Theatre.

Anita is a Northern based screenwriter, director and performer. Recently having returned to acting she has performed for Talawa Theatre Company, Home Theatre, JB Shorts and the

Winston is a recent Masters graduate of the Royal Welsh college of Music and Drama. His work includes entertaining audiences as Chilli/Jabber in Suzan-Lori Park’s In the Blood at Sherman
Manchester Festival. During lockdown she wrote and stared in online comedy series, Linda's Lockdown.
Theatre. He also appeared in Moonlicks in March 2020 with the Richard Burton Company.
Jake Hagan
Jake is due to appear as Jason in BBC drama The Responder alongside Martin Freeman. He is also an alumni of Young Everyman Playhouse.

Soulla is a writer for radio, film and television, rep'd by Curtis Brown in London but based in her hometown of Liverpool. For Finger Food Shorts, Soulla brings together an evening of short plays penned by exciting Northern writers, showcasing working class voices & brought to life on stage by fabulous local talent.
